How To Get To El Nido / El Nido Transportation
Puerto Princesa to El Nido
Take a plane to Puerto Princesa. From Puerto Princesa, you can either take a van or bus to reach El Nido. There are different van operators that will take you to El Nido: Eulen Joy, Fortwally, and Lexus Shuttle. Most of their vans are 14 to 18-seater and costs Php700 if pick-up from airport/hotel, Php 600 if not. There is also this DayTripper which is more comfortable with its 10 seater van for Php 850. On the other hand, taking a bus is cheaper, wider legroom, but travel time is longer.
Sometimes, people also visit Underground River in Palawan which is a boat ride from Sabang. Sabang is two hours from Puerto Princesa. What others do is that they take the Puerto Princesa to Sabang route, then Sabang to El Nido. Just make sure to check the schedule.

2nd trip - : 7:00am
3rd trip - : 9:00am
I've only tried Eulen Joy, but I notice that because these vans were 16 seater, a very small legroom for a 6 hours ride is not really comfortable, unless you're fine with it. I might try DayTripper someday, given a chance.
We've been looking for a place to stay prior the trip but most resorts in El Nido Town Proper beachfront is too expensive for us. That's why we decided to stay in Corong Corong side. Also special thanks to Chyng for her reviews on Telesfora which also made us decide to stay here. Here are some pictures of Telesfora during our stay.
Beachfront, they have restaurant infront.
Airconditioned cottages for 5pax
Airconditioned Rooms too
Inside cottages. Clean and towels provided.
The moment we checked out beachfront of Telesfora, I fell in love with the place. It is very laidback and quiet. Plus you can also see the sunset in this side.

We also wanted to see what's in the other side (El Nido Town Proper) so we took a tricycle going there. I was surprised to see a different El Nido, shops everywhere, tourists everywhere, it's like Puerto Galera minus the party. And I didn't expect to see such flock of backpacker/foreign travelers here. I thinks most shops here were owned already by foreigners.
Dinner at Art Cafe
We have no idea where to eat, we found Art Cafe in Tripadvisor so we decided to check that out. Art cafe is one of the cafe/restaurants in El Nido beach proper. We noticed that there's a band playing which is fun and that the owner is roaming around to assist in serving food as well. Price is a bit expensive I think but my friends liked the food they served so the following day, we ate here again.
Exploring El Nido City Proper
Before going back to Telesfora, we walked around for souvenir hunting and had crepe for dessert. The next day would be our island hopping trip to explore El Nido. :)
shops lined up everywhere
crepe for dessert. We thought it's expensive though.
