Part7: Cebu-Bohol Trip (Day3) - Chocolate Hills & Bohol Tours

After our short but full packed adventure in Danao, off we went to see the Chocolate Hills and other Bohol City Tours.  We skipped Sagbayan Peak to lessen our travel time, because we wanted to experience the Loboc River Cruise with Buffet Lunch wherein it will only be available until 2pm.  You may opt to choose the night cruise though.

Chocolate Hills
Carmen, Bohol
Entrance Fee Php 20.00
Thousand chocolate hills are scattered around the area. Perfect domes, covered with green grass that dies during dry season hence, turning it into dark brown color.

Butterfly Sanctuary
Entrance Fee Php 20/30.00
I enjoyed it here, it's good to refresh our memory of the butterfly's lifecycle, the male and female distinctions, and the mating process.

Man-Made Forest
Kuya Arnel told us that students planted Mahogany trees during Marcos' administration. And look at it now, huge trees on a high way.   Ready to make some jump shots!

Loboc River Cruise
River Cruise Php 300.00 with buffet lunch

Tarsier
No flash or tarsiers will be blind.  We chose not to touch them, our guide from the butterfly sanctuary told us that it's not good to hold them and put in one's head for pictures, removing him from its natural environment.

Python
Prony the python.  I've been wanting to get inside his cage and touch him, but prony is sick.

This is prony!

Baclayon Church
Baclayon Church is the second oldest stone church in the Philippines.

Do you see a face figure on the right side? They say its the first father priest appeared miraculously.

Blood Compact Site
Blood Compact or Pacto de Sangre is a ritual made where they cut their wrist and pour blood in a cup and drink each other's blood for friendship and agreement.  This particular Blood Compact in Bohol called "Sandugo" was made by Bohol Chief, Datu Sikatuna and Spanish Miguel Lopez de Legazpi, witnessed by Fray Andres de Urdaneta and other two soldiers.

I remember Cebu-Bohol trip was at first our choice for our ed-tour during college but we ended up in Cebu only. Now that I'm working, I'll tour Bohol. :D http://www.cdokay.com/

I'm going to bohol via cebu on Feb.6 overnight stay in bohol and going back to cebu on Feb.7. I checked online for a place to stay in bohol and the cheapest one i found is casa reyfrancis. Anyone has an idea if this is a safe place to stay. The price is P2,550. overnight accomodation and package land tour of choco hills and the likes...fees and buffet at loboc river are included.Would be a great help if you can give me an idea.

I've checked their site and it seems that casa reyfrancis is safe. It is cheap because probably the location is not by the beach and within the tagbilaran city area. You can just take a ride to visit the beautiful panglao island in bohol when you're there.

Hi,

You can check this link for a list of ferry lines going from cebu to bohol. http://www.adventurousfeet.com/2010/07/cebu-to-bohol-bohol-to-cebu-ferry-boat.html Check their website for the updates schedule. From the airport you can take a cab so you guys will directly go to the port/pier (check which ferry you want and its pier location). Buy your tickets and wait your time to aboard the ferry. If you wish to go back the same day, check their schedule and buy 2way tickets :)
